Moving On - Pt12 (END)

It's been a year and four months now that you've lived here, the other group took off in the middle of winter, taking tons of your stuff with them.  Somehow they managed to drain the well behind your back, and now its time for your group to pack up and move on.

You call a group meeting, you know this is going to be hard for so many of your group to hear, but you need to find a new place to stay, or else you will all die.

You explain that dan and his group did what he had already said, move on.  You explain they will pay for doing this, and that you will follow their trail, and you have an idea where they were going.  So your group packs up and gets moving, its a tough walk of shame, but you all know it has to be done.  You spend weeks on the road, camping in small buildings ect until you manage to catch up with good ol dan and he group.

Your group hangs back, and you watch them for awhile.  They seemed to have made a old truck bed into a pull along thing, and your water is in the back of it.  Looks like it takes at least 10 people to pull it.  You notice their leader going off into a ditch, odds are to either take a piss or shit.  So you decide to sneak up on him, sure enough he is taking a shit.  You sneak up to him, put your gun to his head and tell him not to make a sound or move.  As you get in front of him, he is pale as a ghost, you smile and tell him, what you think we wouldn't track you down?  You tell him to clean his ass up and make him self decent.  Which he does.  He tries to explain, but you are not having it.  You tell him to give back what they stole, and you will consider letting them all go.  He shakes his head, he says he can't do that.  His group voted to do what they did, and that is what it is.  You are really pissed now, you explain the agreement, and that they should of known better.  Trust is earned, and yet they took you for a fool, and now it's their time to pay.  Your group outnumbers them, and surrounds them, with guns pointed you tell your group to move in.  With this, you tell their leader to get moving, once the other group is disarmed, your group takes it all, and your 2nd in command wants to leave food for the kids here.  Yeah, we can do that, take their ammo, leave their guns, least they can look the part still.

Once you have what was taken plus more, you move on.  The other group just vanishes.  You find something on your way.  An old military bunker, so you check it out, lucky it's not in use, so your group makes a vote, we stay here for now on.  Funny enough, it has a stock pile of water, and even a well.

Fast Forward 4 years >>>>>>

Your group has been doing good, anyone around you knows who you all are.  After 4 years of living here, reports are coming in that the government is coming back together, cleaning up city's, getting power back on ect.  It will be a long time before everything comes back around, but your group has still choose to stay here until that time comes.

**THIS PART WAS UNPUBLISHED BECAUSE I HAD NO TIME TO COMPLETE IT, THIS IS THE END OF THE STORY.**

Thank YOU!

It's time for this blog to end.  My last post was in 2014, and I simply forgot about it.  It was fun writing what I have, but I already know that I just won't have time.

Prep and wait,
it could always happen.

More Bad Blood - Pt11

The other group decided to take you up on the limited help, and even though they are hostile about you being around, you make it clear as glass that you are only here to help and nothing more, while this puts some of the group at rest, others still don't want you around at all.
You report back to your group, tell them that you are going to help them some, but you can only give them limited help due to the fact your group comes first.  You gather a small amount of supply's in a box (water, food, first aid stuff, meds ect...) and you also disarm yourself with no weapons to show them respect and that you are not currently a threat to them.
As you walk up to their gates, the group owner only lets you in, only because you have no weapons.  You had him the supply's and tell him you can only give small limited amount, and he nods to you and asks you to sit for a few.  You spend a few hours talking about this and that, but nothing important about your groups.  You decide to switch topics, and start talking about your group and that you have almost been in this area for about a year now or so.

You explain that the area's resource's are almost dried up if not already and that the water source you had is almost gone too.  You also explain about the last group who was here that you had an agreement with decided to start stealing water because they wanted to move on after a few months and that you couldn't let them get away with it, so you ran them off.  After this, the other group leader seems to open up to you explaining that his group is always on the move because they can never find a really safe place from anyone.

You nod your head and tell him that was the same thing for your group for a long time, and that this place seems safe enough and that hardly anyone passes by anymore.  You tell the other groups leader *Dan* that you are always looking for more information on the areas out there in the "wild".  You ask if they passed through the city, and he says yes, but it was bad, nothing really left and lots of gangs fighting for anything they can get, its best to stay clear of any city.  He notes that many smallish towns seem to be left alone for the most part, and that is how they made their way here.  You tell him the town just a few miles down the road has been picked clean by your group.  Dan nods to you, says he figured it was already gone when he saw your group.

You tell dan that he should talk to his group and explain that both groups can combine efforts in keeping this area safe, and work together to better both groups.
[Some kind of peace agreement and work agreement ect.]

Dan nods to the idea, but explains that lots of his group won't trust yours because many others have back stabbed them before, and now they don't like joining forces with other groups of people.  Dan can see the good in you, and the respect and trust, as he tell you.  He will try to get people on board with the idea, and maybe have a huge group meeting between both groups.

You nod, and say that is a good idea, and decide to call it a day.

The Return - Pt10

Your scouts report that a small group of people have stopped off at the old groups location, you ask if they can tell if its the same people or new.  Unable to tell, you gather a small group and proceed to the area to speak with this other group.  You notice that they seem really hostile to your group, and want nothing to do with you and just ask you to leave.  You refuse to leave, and ask to peak with the group leader, who won't come close to you.  So you explain that they may use this old camp, and that they are some what close to your group and that you will defend your area if they attempt anything.  You decide to also explain that if they are willing, both groups can help each other on on limited basis.

Outcomes:

#1. Even though they are hostile, they have yet to threaten you, or attack you, which could be a good sign, or a sign of bad things to come.  Odds are they will tell you to screw off, and you should just leave them alone, just keep eyes on them so they can't get too close.

#2. They accept your offer of limited help, and both groups coexist for a while until your group or the other gets tired of the crap and decides to either move on or possibly attack you.

Either one could happen, so keep your heads up.

Gone at last! - Pt9

The other group has taken off, and its been about 4 hours from the time they left, you are still not sure if they will try to double back on you, so you keep your group at the ready.  You and a small group of men decide to check out the other groups old camp, maybe they left something, but odds are they didn't.  As you near the gate, its been left unlatched, but chained and locked..  This throws up red flags to you and your group.  You consider that they may have planned to double back sooner or later, and didn't want anyone to over take this place.  Why would anyone lock up an abandoned camp?  Unless they planned on returning, and left supplies in one of the houses.

You decide to just cut the chain, and as you swing the gate open, nothing happens.  Glad for that you and your men move in, in a tight pack, watching every little thing around you.  You check the first house top to bottom, nothing but clothes used to wipe their asses, this must of been their shit house.. :/

You come to the 2nd house, and the windows and doors are locked.... Strange...  So without questioning it, you kick in the door.  You and your men walk threw the whole house, find torn clothes, old shoes, but nothing worth locking the house up.  You move threw house 3 & 4 without problems, and find nothing of value.  However, house 5 seems to have been their HQ of sorts, and you peer into the window, you can see maps and other items.  Once inside, you search thew the house, find a small amount of food, and ammo, and notes and maps.  You decide to take the food, leave the notes and maps, and stage the place in the off chance they try to come back.

Water Source drying up.. - Pt8 (Pt2)

You explaining anything to these guys is not working.  You now only have a choice to bluff them into thinking they are surrounded by your men.  You play your bluff, but it seems only the leader is not buying it.  However, you explain to him, to just drop this load of water, and go back to his camp and leave, as you already know they are packed and ready.  Some reason he agrees, and they leave the water and go back to their camp.  It is now that you realize the following:

1. Trust must now be earned by all groups/people before they are allowed to get their own food/water from your sources.

2. It's time to create bluff plans, make sure you know them, and your group knows them well.

3. Don't deal with well armed groups/people, bluff them if you must.

4. Don't let other groups inhabit other area's around your area, unless they have earned your trust.

5. Scout Spy's, have a few group members check in on another group, making sure they take notes of their area and whatever else is needed.

It's your call, do as you see fit when the time comes.
